Paulo Mirpuri
President and Chief Executive Officer

Paulo Mirpuri was appointed LSKY’s President and CEO in 2005, and under his command, the company has become a fist-class in-inflight catering provider for both commercial and business aviation. Over the last 30 years, Paulo Mirpuri has accumulated a wealth of expertise in the aviation industry, with top management positions in several airlines such as AL, NetJets and Hi Fly – that he currently presides. He has also been successfully leading aviation support service companies: MESA - aircraft maintenance, Target - aircraft trading, Safeport - aircraft and passenger handling, SGAB - airport management among others. In addition to his long business experience, Paulo Mirpuri is a qualified doctor who graduated from the Medical School at Lisbon University (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), and an Airbus qualified pilot.

Carlos Mirpuri

Captain Carlos Mirpuri is LSKY’s Vice-President and co-founder. A professional pilot since 1981, he has an extensive technical and managerial background. Captain Carlos Mirpuri holds both EASA and FAA ATPL and is also TRI and Senior TRE. With a total flight time of over 16,000 hours, including over 11,000 Command hours in Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft, he is qualified and current on A320, A330, A350, A340 and A380. Captain Mirpuri is also qualified to perform three engine ferry flights in Quads, factory trained to perform Functional Check Flights on Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft, and is a UPRT trainer. He has also flown A310s, Lockheed Tristar, B727, B737, Cessna Citation, Rockwell Commanders, Beechcraft King Air, DHC - 6 Twin Otter, multiple MEP and SEP. He also holds a Helicopter Pilot License and frequently flies Rotary wing aircraft. Captain Carlos Mirpuri has accumulated decades of aviation and management experience through the companies he co-founded, including NJE, LXR, MESA, Safeport, LSKY and Hi Fly.

Sérgio Bagorro
Chief Financial Officer

Sérgio Bagorro is LSKY’s CFO since 2006. He is also CFO of the Mirpuri Group which includes other companies in the Aviation sector, namely Hi Fly Airline, Safeport - aircraft and passenger handling and MESA - aircraft maintenance. Additionally, Sérgio is CEO of the Group’s holding and Hi Fly, Ltd, the sister Airline based in Malta since 2013. Previous to joining Hi Fly, Sérgio Bagorro was the General Manager at the Law Firm “Miranda, Correia, Amendoeira & Associados” (2005 and 2006), after having been Vice-General Manager of Telepizza Portugal since 1999. From 1997 to 1999, he worked for Sabena – Swissair Group as Financial Manager, and was also Vice-Chairman of IATA Portugal (Panel of IATA Airlines BSP operating in Portugal). Sérgio Bagorro started his career in 1991 as Finance Manager at Telecom Marconi Group and Marconi Holdings, followed by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as Senior Finance Consultant (from 1994 to 1997).

Dhansukh Ambaram
Operations Manager

Dhansukh Ambaram is LSKY’s Operations Manager since its launch in 2005. With already 15 years’ experience in inflight catering, he has an extended knowledge about the specifics of this aviation support industry. In LSKY, Dhansukh Ambaram is responsible for the setting up the menu and for following the quality and safety control which is performed until the meals’ delivery to the aircraft. Adding up, he has also costumer management responsibilities, namely in prices negotiating and in billing. During the prior 4 years, Dhansukh Ambaram had responsabilities in commercial aviation’s inflight catering, having performed inventory management, purchase of inflight galley equipment and operationalizing the logistics related to the supply of duty free bars, dry goods and dressing to the aircrafts.

Miguel Baptista

Miguel Baptista joined LSKY as Chef in 2009, and has 17 years’of professional experience. After completing a 3-years course of First Cook and Second Pastry, in 1998, in Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies, he became Second Cook at the prestigious “Choupana” restaurant, also located in Estoril. In 1999, Miguel Baptista accepted the offer of Hotel Palácio Estoril (5 stars) and became First Cook there. An year after, he joined Grupo Silva Carvalho’s Palácio Nacional da Pena restaurant, where he became Chef in 2005. While working as a Chef in LSKY, Miguel Baptista made an upgrade course, called “La Cuisine selon Joël Robuchon”, in 2011, at the prestigious “Lenôtre” school in Paris.

João Lopes

João Lopes became Chef at LSKY in 2010, having currently 25 years’ experience in the gastronomic field. He completed a Cook and Pastry course at in Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies, in 1990, becoming, in that exact same year, a cook in Hotel Praia Mar, in Carcavelos. In the following years and until he joined LSKY, João Lopes, worked as a cook and as a chef in several hotels and renowned restaurants in Cascais, Oeiras, Sintra and Toronto (Canada). In 2011, already as a chef in LSKY, João Lopes made an upgrade course, called “La Cuisine selon Joël Robuchon” at the prestigious “Lenôtre” school in Paris.

Susana Castro
Food Quality and Safety Manager

Susana Castro joined LSKY in 2012, and is responsible for all aspects concerning food quality and safety, including the maintenance of the company’s NP EN ISO 22000:2005 certification. In addition, she is also responsible for all matters related to health, hygiene and safety at work. In 2008, immediately after finishing an Integrated Master’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Susana Castro began to devote herself professionally to issues related to food quality and safety. With 8 years of experience in this field, she started as Head of Quality Department in a corporate group which owned a meat industry and seven takeaway restaurants. Between 2010 and 2012 Susana Castro worked as a Quality Technician in TeQualim, a food consulting firm.
